Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management was set up in the year 2004 as one of the foremost centers of specialized learning in the industrial town of Ludhiana. The College was set up by a trust sponsored by the Vardhman Group. The Vardhman Group led by Padma Bhushan Sh. S P Oswal is one of the leading textile conglomerates in India. This is the second social responsibility initiative in the field of education by Vardhman Group, the first being the setting up of Sri Aurobindo Public School in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh in 1996.
