The campus has a land area of 12.12 acres. If we look at the chronology of events, it is a success story of quick march of events. Col P S Choudhry was appointed as the General Manager (Education and Admn.) on October 16, 2003. He actively started working on the college project and sought all necessary approvals from the Government of Punjab, Local Authorities and made all administrative arrangements to get preliminary clearances from the Panjab University. Bhoomipoojan was held on November 24, 2003. Construction of the college building began on December 4, 2003. Panjab University inspection team visited the campus in order to assess building for classrooms, offices, library and other infrastructure for requirements of the University. One unit and subsequently a second unit for B.Com I were sanctioned by Panjab University. The first press conference was held by the Chairman, Sh. S P Oswal on June 14, 2004. Soon the prospectus of the college was published and put on sale for admission to the college. The first Lecturer, Ms. Bulbul Singh joined the College on 5th July, 2004. Admission took place in the first week of July, 2004. The college affiliation was approved and ratified by the Panjab University Syndicate on 14.07.2004. The first College Principal, Dr. Prem Kumar came to the helms of the college on July 15, 2004. From bhoomipoojan to the starting of the academic session, it took less than 8 months.

The academic session started on 19th July, 2004. The College had to undergo a lot of teething problems in managing discipline and academic progress of the students. The results produced by students of First Year were not up to the mark. As many as 22 students had compartments. The college then adopted a comprehensive assessment plan in which action plans were formulated to help students to improve their learning of the subjects and score better marks. After much introspection and experimentation, the college was successful in developing a self correcting mechanism. The results gradually started to improve and since 2006, the College has always recorded 100% pass percentage in its results. The first batch of students successfully passed out in 2007. Since then, the academic progress of the College has taken place at an unbelievably fast pace. Now SACCM students regularly feature in the university merit lists. Several students have topped the Panjab University Exams and received gold medals. Encouraged by the success of the B.Com Program, the college sought affiliation and started the BBA Program in 2010. And this march goes on and on…

The founder Principal, Dr Prem Kumar served this college till December 2009. Until the appointment of permanent principal, Ms Bulbul Singh officiated as principal. Later, Dr R.L. Behl joined as new principal of SACCM on 20th October, 2010.

Keeping in view the huge response for admissions, the college is coming up with additional units of B.Com and BBA. Also the college is adding new building to the existing infrastructure. The new building block will include new amphitheater style classrooms, tutorial rooms, a library to enable 100 students to sit and study, a new computer lab with 60 new high tech computers, a student centre, two covered badminton courts, cafeteria and beautiful lush green lawns.
